Toinen huivi. Second scarf.

Huivi mallin päällä edestä. The scarf and model, front.

En noudattanut ohjetta ihan orjallisesti, sillä testasin samalla viime kesänä Ruotsissa oppimaani levennystekniikkaa, jonka Josefin opetti. Siinä tehdään viimeiseen silmukkaan lisäyksiä, ja sitten käännetään työ.
Käytin oslopistoa, jossa on yksi lanka peukalolla, ja takaa otetaan vain edellinen kerroksen pudotettu lenkki. Pisto kiinnitetään valmiikseen kerrokseen F1 eli poimimalla "uusi", (UO/UOO). Pidin piston melko löysänä. Aloitin suoralla rivillä, en Lauran tapaan kolmiolla. Lisäsin aluksi neljästä kuuteen silmukkaa per käännös, mutta huivi ei leventynyt tarpeeksi, joten lisäsin levennyksiä.
Pinta. The surface.
Huivi levenee siis niin, että rivin päässä tein kuudesta kahdeksaan silmukkaa ilmaan eli kiinnittämättä. Otin työn peukalolta, jossa sitä siis tapaan tehdä, käänsin, poimin viimeisen silmukan takaisin peukalolle ja kiinnitin piston kerroksen viidenteen ja kuudenteen silmukkaan.
Käännöksessä tein muutaman kiinnityksen F2 eli ottamalla uuden lisäksi myös "vanhan". Se vahvisti reunaan jääviä pidennyksiä.
Tein huivin perusosaa kolme vyyhtiä ( a 50 g) eli yhteensä 150 g, ja aloin kiertää huivin ulkoreunoja. Lisäilin vielä sinne tänne piston ja pari. Viimeinen 50 grammaa riitti kiertämään reunat kolmeen kertaan.
Pistot kulkevat kahteen suuntaan. Stiches go in two directions.
Koristelin huivin hapsuilla, joihin käytin lankalaatikoista löytyneitä eri sävyisiä vihreitä langanloppuja. Ja viimeistelin höyryttämällä koko työn kevyesti. Seuraavaksi... ehkä jokin huivi...
Huivi takaa. Scarf and the model from behind.
Lovely Annika gave me once some yarn and told that I must make something for my self, not for others. The yarn is supersoft, it has lambswool and some camelwool. I have saved the yarn to something special. Now I have a new scarf, inspided by Laura´s directions from Lankadontti.

I dit not follow it completely, because I wanted to test the technique Josefin taught me last summer in Sweden. She makes several addings to the last stich, and then turns. I used Oslo stich, where you have one loop on the thumb and you work with only one loop behind the thumb. When attaching the stiches to previous row you use F1 (UO/UOO).
I had quite loose stich. I started by straigt row, not by a small triangle like Laura does. I started by adding four stiches per turn, but it was not enough so finally I added 6-8 stiches per row.
I made the turns so that at the end of the row I made eight stiches NOT attaching them to previous row and I turned the whole work around. Then I attached the first loop to 5th and 6th loop of the previous row, and made few stiches using F2 -attachment. That made the turn a bit stronger.

I used 150 grams of yarn to the basic part and the last 50 g I used to stiching around the whole scarf, following the edges. I added few stiches here and there and 50 grams was enough to make three rows to the edges. I decorated the scarf by using all kinds of green yarns and finished the work by ironing it gently.
My next work will be... maybe a scarf...?
